Every tuesday evening I have a 3 hour date with my television. From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. do not call me and do not expect vamped IM's. I will be watching Hugh Laurie, Ron Livingston and Julian McMahon. I am not one that has the pleasure of enjoying regular prime-time television for various reasons but this one night I take the time to relax and enjoy my escapism from reality.
We will start with "House M.D." which first attracted my attention 3 years ago just because it was cool. The CSI-like cinematography and drama with a E.R. setting made it so intriguing to this former M.D. wannabe. Something about the wit and sarcasm of Dr. House makes me so drawn to him and he is definately a sexy man. This season, after the few opening episodes, my attention is still right there and the season is opening a story line for House to get into some dangerous waters with a patient's minor daughter. I'd bang him!
After I get my first fill of doctors it is time for some legal lust. Ron Livingston, best known for his gangsta role in Office Space, was going to be in a thrilling FBI drama, "Standoff" where he is a crisis negotiator who is sleeping with his partner played by Rosemarie DeWitt. She holds her own and their chemistry is amazing. I almost like her more than Livingston's character but how could I not love him? The situations they tackle also give you the dramatic urgency that one might find thrilling of "24" or "The Dead Zone."
Then after that I switch over to FX network and get my fill of my two favorite plastic surgeons. I have been a fan of "Nip/Tuck" from the beginning following Julian McMahon from his role as Cole on Charmed. I like this one better. As much as you should hate Dr. Christian Troy, you find yourself still drawn to him and desiring to be one of his love toys for the evening. The reason I love "Nip/Tuck" is you never quite know what you are going to get. This show is always great at throwing you a twist and playing shock factor to the max. Probably the most provocative and barrier pushing program currently on television, it has met its critics that would like to see it quickly removed.
This season has already with a bang, with Christian (McMahon) questioning his sexuality thanks to a suggestion from a pyschologist (Brooke Shields) that he is in love with his partner Dr. McNamara (Dylan Walsh). The last few episodes have been him fighting this idea until last weeks episode where he meets a fellow plastic surgeon (Mario Lopez) who it has been leaked that later in the season Christian will develop a relationship with.
You can check out: Fox.com for more information on "House M.D." and "Standoff" and FXnetworks.com for "Nip/Tuck" and maybe you should start a Tuesday Love Affair of your own.
